THE TRUTH PROJECT
What is truth?
According to Focus On The Family, the Barna Research Group revealed that only 9% of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. Can we conclude that 91% live their daily lives as our non-Christian neighbors?
In a more recent survey, clearly 40% of Christians believe Satan does not exist but is only a symbol of evil.
In that same survey, 58% of Christians "believe strongly or somewhat strongly" that the Holy Spirit is "a symbol of God's power or presence but is not a living entity."
What happened? How did the body of Christ slide so far from biblical truth?
Let's examine this together.
Beverly Evangelical Covenant Chursh will host The Truth Project. This is a DVD based curriculum comprised of 13 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. The study was produced by Focus as "the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective". Throughout the tours, Dr. Tackett invites us to join him on the tour of our lives and assures us that we will be amazed.
The Truth Project will begin on January 12, 2012, and cuminate on April 5, 2012. Beverly Evangelical Covenant Church located at 10545 S. Claremont Avenue, Chicago, will host the entire study.
We will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. for 13 consecutive Thursdays. Each tour takes about one hour. The doors will open at 6:30pm.
