Thursday night basketball has ended for the spring. A number of the teens from basketball are graduating this May. From Mount Carmel High School: Matt Anderson, going to the U of I at Urbana; Nate Reedy, going to Marquette University; Jake Breakey, going to Loras College in Iowa; Lyle Klees, going to Texas Tec. From St. Rita high School: Matt Beensterboer, going to Illinois State University. From Morgan Park High School: Ben Davis.
A former Beverly Junior and Hi League player. Jeff Marinier, graduated this May from Illinois Wesleyan, SUMMA COM LAUDE. Way to go Jeff….
We WILL have Thursday night basketball next winter, thanks to a generous offer from the Morgan Park Academy. We plan on starting November 4, 2010. One small change in times: Teens will scrimmage from 7:00 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. Adults from 8:15 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
We were averaging about 15 teens every night. My thanks to all the teen and adult players for their help and support this past season. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone next November.
Basketball practice begins on November 4, 2010
at the Morgan Park Academy gym.
Teen scrimmage - every Thursday, at 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Adult scrimmage - every Thursday, at 8:15 - 9:30 p.m.
All skill levels are welcome.
